- Leadership Conference Committee: This committee plans the logistics of the Annual DSAIA Leadership Conference which serves as a pre-conference component for the NDSC Convention. Members focus on reviewing speaker proposals, coordinating exhibitors and planning events so that all attendees can find value in this experience.If you have planned previous conferences, or have attended and want to be a part of improving them, your input would be greatly valued! You receive one free registration as a committee member. Members are expected to attend 80% of meetings, with a commitment to work 5-10 hours at conference. This committee meets every other month from August-December and every month from January-June for 1.5 hours on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 11:30-1pm EST Some additional meetings are held in January for speaker selection.
Membership Committee:
The Membership Committee is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and engaged member community. With a focus on member recruitment, retention, and engagement, the committee works to ensure every member feels connected, supported, and valued. Members also help develop and implement growth strategies and welcome new staff from Down syndrome organizations into the DSAIA network. This committee meets monthly for one hour on the last Wednesday of the month from 1-2pm EST- Programs & Resources Committee:
The Programs & Resources Committee helps ensure DSAIA provides timely, relevant resources and high-quality programming that meets the evolving needs of Down syndrome organizations. Committee members contribute ideas, provide feedback, and support the development of programs such as Learning Circles, Member-to-Member webinars, and Buddy Walk planning and debrief sessions. This committee meets every other month on the first Wednesday of the month from 12-1:30pm EST.
