Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action (DSAIA) is a national membership association serving local, state, and regional Down syndrome organizations. From the very beginning, leaders recognized the value of coming together to share experiences, exchange resources, and learn from one another—especially within the unique context of the Down syndrome community.
That spirit of collaboration led to the first national gathering in 2007 and, soon after, the formation of Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action.
Today, DSAIA members play a vital role in ensuring individuals with Down syndrome and their families have access to meaningful resources and support. We strengthen organizational capacity by providing connections, training, technical assistance, and shared learning opportunities. DSAIA represents more than 300 leaders, with member organizations ranging from emerging start-ups to well-established associations across the United States and around the world.
DSAIA is a community of nonprofit leaders committed to excellence. Together, we model best practices, build leadership skills, encourage collaboration, and innovate to meet the evolving challenges facing our organizations. Above all, our members are united by a shared commitment to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families in communities nationwide.
