Elizabeth Romanick’s message to the world is “inclusion matters.” She has had the opportunity of living with Down syndrome and being included in ordinary, daily experiences since she was born. This included college and earning an associate’s degree in early childhood special education paraprofessional. Liz has been very active in advocacy and is a member of NDAC. Elizabeth has lived out her dream of living on her own for the past 5 years, being active in her community and church, and tackling tasks like crockpot cooking and flying independently.
Today, she is applying her lived experience in her job as a project specialist with the North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities at Minot State University.
