Take a Deeper Diver at One of Nine Pre-Conference Sessions
NDSC Convention attendees are invited to register for one of nine pre-conference sessions that will take place Friday, June 28th from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. These 4-hour sessions are designed to dive deeper than a 90-minute general convention workshop. Topics range the lifespan of a person with Down syndrome. Dr. Jennifer Bekins will present a session on speech and communication that will answer questions such as “When will my child talk?” A team of specialists from across the country will deliver a session on transition – focusing on what happens when your child turns eighteen. Attendees from this session will leave with much-needed resources to take home to start building their child’s transition plan. Another hot topic for families of adults with Down syndrome is regression. Drs. Chicoine and Quinn will deliver a cutting-edge session packed with research on identifying signs of decline and strategies to overcome regression. Check out the full pre-conference line-up and register today.
